Asaliah Reiiel Reyes is an independent costume designer and visual artist from the Philippines.

They graduated cum laude with a BFA in Painting from the University of the Philippines Diliman, College of Fine Arts. Despite being taught to be an artist, they always made time to learn about fashion history and fashion design while juggling their plate deadlines and learning about "what makes good art?". They apply their interdisciplinary knowledge of artmaking, fashion design, and photo & video editing software in their creative projects.

Growing up as a closeted queer child, Asaliah went through a myriad of traumatic and transformative experiences. They draw most of their inspiration from them, and it shapes their works. Now that they're an openly queer adult, they face new unique experiences and use art and costume design to navigate their new life.

When they're not busy, Asaliah likes to spend their time playing video games, taking care of their plants, watching movies, getting inspired by films with sublime costumes, and finding more inspiration for future art projects while they connect with nature.

Asaliah believes that what someone expresses outwardly with their clothes and style reflects who they are. So, each costume Asaliah makes is a piece with their story waiting to be known.
